This new podcast series is hosted by the Rev. Dr. Cheryl McFadden, Senior Associate Rector at Christ Church Greenwich, in conversation with guest, Lucy Rinaldi, Senior Warden.
In this thought-provoking podcast episode, these two women shed light on often-overlooked stories, struggles, and triumphs of the women who lived in the ancient world. They unveil the complexities of their roles, societal and familial expectations, and the unique challenges each one  faced in a world vastly different from our own.
They further this conversation by reflecting on the enduring lessons and inspirations we can draw from these women's experiences. 

Women Walking in Faith: Episode 2 ”Demanding To Be Heard”

"Demanding To Be Heard: Women of the Bible" The Rev. Dr. Cheryl McFadden, Senior Associate Rector at Christ Church Greenwich, and Lucy Rinaldi, Senior Warden, continue their conversation about women of the Bible who have courageous stories to tell that were daring, but passionate for their time. Cheryl and Lucy share some of these women's stories and show us their relevance and confidence that we can apply to our lives today. 

Episode 3: ”Women of the Bible: Struggling for Legitimacy ”

Rev. Cheryl McFadden and Lucy Rinaldi continue their exploration of women in the bible. This episode is based on the book, "Outrageous Women, Outrageous God" by Ron Saunders. They discuss women in the bible who had to strategize and go against the norm in order to survive and sometimes thrive.

Episode 4: Women of the Bible: The misunderstanding of Mary Magdalene

Listen as Rev. Cheryl and Lucy Rinaldi share some of their life experiences and talk about Mary Magdalene, who has often been misconstrued. Her seven demons may have been related to mental illness.

This podcast kicks off a new season of Women Walking in Faith. This episode is hosted by WGCH radio personality Darby Carton, who speaks with Rev. Dr. Julie Faith Parker.
The Rev. Dr. Julie Faith Parker is the Biblical Scholar in Residence at Marble Collegiate Church and a Visiting Scholar at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. She was awarded the Ph.D. withdistinction in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible from Yale University. She has taught as a professor ofbiblical studies at General Theological Seminary (NYC) and Trinity Lutheran Seminary in addition to teaching at Yale Divinity School, Colby College, and New York Theological Seminary, where her students were incarcerated in Sing Sing Prison. An ordained minister in the UnitedMethodist Church, she worked full-time in both congregational and campus ministry prior to doctoral studies.
Dr. Parker is the author or editor of eight books, including most recently, Eve Isn’t Evil: Feminist Readings of the Bible to Upend Our Assumptions.
